Katrine was born in 1994 and grew up on Funen. She has always had a great love of writing and has always been fascinated and captivated by good stories – especially those that take place on a screen. It was on the Screenplay Development course at the University of Southern Denmark that Katrine could really feel, she had landed in the right spot. Since then she has worked with screenwriting in both short films and various formats in the industry.

As a screenwriter, Katrine finds inspiration in the quirky characters, arenas, and stories she encounters in everyday life. It characterizes her writing style that she revolves around small, tender moments that unfold a larger narrative. She likes to dive into the deep narratives and heavy themes of life and death, but with a lively approach where there is room for humor.

For Katrine, working within defined boundaries is inspiring and she often sees limitations as a gift for creativity. She is interested in different formats and likes to consider whether a story is best unfolded in a feature film, a web series, a computer game, or something completely different.

After the death of their father, Sigurd wants to bury the hatchet and forgive his half siblings, Astrid and Jens, for how they treated him as kids. But this does not go as planned, as Astrid and Jens do not believe they've done anything that warrants forgiveness. Sigurd feels snubbed and realizes that what he actually wants is an apology but this demand only escalates an already tense situation and before long, they start to fall into old habits, revisiting childhood traumas.
