Gustav lives with his parents and works at their pig farm. All of his spare time he uses in front of the computer. Here he is part of a closed, online chat room, where peers socialize and support each other, but also share grim content and challenges each other's limits. When Gustav is challenged to film himself committing a violent and obscene act, he suddenly finds himself in a dilemma: Because on the same day Daniel, the new employee who is the same age as Gustav, arrives. And for the first time in a long time, Gustav experiences a new opportunity and interest in making and maintaining a meaningful social relation to another person close to him.
Elliot and Mads are in seemingly well-functioning long distance relationship. But Elliot has never opened up about a trauma inflicted upon him in his past and it catches up with him, when he’s supposed to have a romantic weekend with Mads. Elliot decides to confront the trauma and tell Mads about it to overcome his own shame.
A fence is built between Denmark and Germany to separate wild boars from domestic farm pigs, to avoid the spreading of a deadly swine virus. Ebba wakes, just an arm length away from her girlfriend Jona, the reminiscence of her dream about separation and a longing for unity takes its toll on them.
Malik feels like a stranger in Sweden after his family fled there from Iraq. In Sweden he is bullied and often gets into fights at school. When Saddam Hussein is hanged, the family decides to move back to Iraq, which excites Malik as he can now finally feel at home somewhere. Soon after arriving, however, Malik begins to feel the same strangeness that he did in Sweden. It begs the question: What is home and what does it really mean to belong somewhere?
Karl and Andrea arrive at a summerhouse, they have rented for the weekend. At first the mood is good, but slowly the true agenda of the weekend starts to unveil. Andrea has been unfaithful to Karl, and the question is whether or not the young, vulnerable couple can overcome their personal insecurities and struggles and stay together.
Et ungt forældrepar tager deres lille søn med ud i skoven. Da drengen pludselig forsvinder, begynder en desperat søgen, hvor mørket falder på, og naturen afslører sin ubarmhjertige side. Håbet svinder, mens de presses længere ind i skovens uforudsigelige dyb. Det, der begyndte som en almindelig dag, udvikler sig til et mareridt uden vej tilbage.

I realityshowet HEARTBREAK HOTEL tjekker Tara ind for at bryde sit gamle datingmønster – men længslen efter at blive set skubber hende væk fra missionen om at finde sig selv. Den fraskilte familiefar, Johan, står foran en længe ventet weekend med sine børn, da han pludselig havner i et voldsomt opgør med sin ekskone. Hvad der begynder som et forsøg på at genvinde sin plads i familien, udvikler sig til en aften med mistro, vrede og afsløringer - alt imens børnene er tilskuere.
