Nadja was born and raised in Aars, Nordjylland. In 2001 she moved to Aarhus, where she held her bachelor's degree in Nordic Languages & Literature and Film & Television. She moved to Copenhagen in 2007 to work as an assistant to producer, Lars Bredo Rahbek. She mainly worked in the postproces on the projects 'Flame & Citron' by Ole Christian Madsen,'What No One Knows’ by Søren Kragh-Jacobsen and 'Istedgade' by Birgitte Stærmose. Subsequently she studied a master's degree in Danish and Film Science at KUA and written a thesis on the Danish filmdirector, Christoffer Boe. Nadja briefly worked on commercials as a researcher in the company Locomotion and at CIFF as an accreditation coordinator in the summer / autumn of 2007. Parallel with the study at KUA Nadja produced the short fiction films ‘Close Up’ (Film Workshop, DFI / Nimbus Film Productions ApS) by Peter Skovfoged Laursen and ‘Lonely Is What You Are On Your Own’ (Film Workshop, DFI / Nimbus Film Productions ApS) by Rasmus Bro with whom she also produced Kiss My Brother, and an online film school web film ‘FILM-X-PERTEN’ for FILM_X (DFI), where she also has worked as a guide. Nadja works as assistant producer at R-film ApS. In addition she’s busy on her Super16 second year film in collaboration with director Jeanette Nordahl.
