Fenar Ahmad was born in 1981 in Tjekkoslovakkia and came to Denmark in 1986 as an Iraqi refugee and has since lived in Copenhagen. His documentary "Nice To Meet You," won a prize at the film festival Salaam DK and was broadcastet on national television.
He then became apart of the danish film kollectiv SUPER16 and went on and finished 2 fiction shortfilms and a documentary with the support from the danish film institute/NEW DANISH SCREEN. In 2009 he won first prize at The Gulf Film Festival for his shortfilm ”MESOPOTAMIA”, in the catagori Official Competition Short.
